Lafayette Scale Modelers

This kit was given to me almost finished. The original builder was not happy with where it is going so it fell into the trash. I saw no reason not to finish it. I used aluminum foil and some cheap spray adhesive. There is areal fine 3 part as of now NMF _P-47 build over at ARC.

The photos do not show it all that well but the decals out of the kit suck! It looks good but I have nothing but trouble. I have almost nothing invested in this so it is win win anyway you look at it.

Looks like your "resurrection" project came out quite worthy! As an "old guy" coming back into modeling once more, I have thought about the myriad of ways folks recreate the natural metal finish and I've got to say, your foil wrap method is a stand-out!

A great Sabre, excellent subject, super finish!

(Now, would I ever have the patience? Hmm....well, there's this 1:48 scale B-36 Peacemaker I'd like to build in NMF, but I'd probably kill off 20 rolls of Reynolds Wrap in the process.....)
