Lafayette Scale Modelers

Eagle Squadron put on an excellent show yesterday. There were ample vendors and good deals to be had. The competition was stiff with some outstanding models to look at. It was very nice to see many of the LaFayette folks up there showing our support. I think we did well as a club John Jernigan won second with his Me-109,

Terry Swanner won a second with his Fokker Dr. I,

Bob Fisher won big with many models, and one of our newer members Chris won a second his first time out with a diorama!

I even took home a third & second place for my LVT and resin girl I just finished. I do have one major complaint with the judging of the models, It seems that some judges assume they have the right to pick models up to inspect the bottoms of models. Well this lead to the destruction of a beautifully built P-39 that was dropped during the judging. Even though the modeler took the well, I personally find this to be unacceptable and I hope we will see less of this in the future.
